You know you're a geek when...

  • Your anxiety about meeting David Norbrook is more fanatic than a teenage girl meeting Justin Bieber
  • You walk by a pub and wonder why there are so many people
  • Your most-anticipated email for the week indicates whether you have gotten into an optional Latin course
  • An orderly desk gives you pleasure because it allows you to see all your book spines in a single glance.
  • Libraries' short lending policies compose a significant percentage of your daily complaints
  • One of your most thrilling conversations of the week is about Yeats, T.S. Eliot, and mysticism
  • The only documents to survive the post-Fresher's Week Paper Purge are:
    • a business card listing the English Faculty library hours
    • English department lecture list
    • papers printed only on one side (to avoid paying for paper to print off articles)
  • You see laundry as a calculated scheme to take you away from your books
....you write a whole blog post on bibliography and literary theory.
